Preparation time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups sweet cassava starch
  • 1 cup of sour cassava starch
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of chia
  • 100g of Minas cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Mashed 2 yams

Preparation method

  1. In a bowl, combine the sweet cassava starch, sour cassava starch, oil, Minas cheese, and season with salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the water, chia seeds, and yam puree.
  3. Stir thoroughly to create a uniform mass.
  4. Make balls of approximately 2 cm with the dough.
  5. Place them in an oiled pan, but remember to leave at least 1.5cm between each ball, as they will grow and may stick together.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes and it's ready.

Sweet potato chips

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Black pepper, oregano and salt to taste

Preparation method

  1. Peel the sweet potato and cut it into 2 to 3mm thick slices.
  2. In a bowl, place the sliced potatoes, olive oil, pepper, oregano and salt, mixing well to distribute the seasoning throughout the slices.
  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and arrange the seasoned potato slices on it.
  4. When they are golden and crispy, remove and bake a new batch.
  5. Once cooled, store in a tightly closed container for up to three days.

Seasoned peanuts

Preparation time: 5 minutes

  • 1 cup roasted skinless peanuts
